Maine Coalition of Home Inspection Professionals (MeCHIPs):
“A home inspection professional who is a member of the Maine Coalition of Home Inspection Professionals (MeCHIPs), has met its membership requirements and is bound to abide by the Bylaws, Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics of the organization. In the absence of state licensing laws regulating home inspectors in Maine, hiring a MeCHIPs professional to perform your home inspection assures you of receiving quality home inspection services from a qualified individual.”
International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI):
“InterNACHI inspectors are certified by the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, the world’s largest nonprofit association of residential and commercial property inspectors. InterNACHI inspectors pass a national exam and are required to stay up to date with the industry’s most rigorous online Continuing Education and video training courses, which have been awarded hundreds of approvals and accreditations by state and government agencies.”
